If a viewing opportunity is available, the date, time, location and any registration requirements will be displayed on the auction or lot page.
We recommend viewing the lot before bidding whenever possible, particularly if its condition or suitability is important to your purchase decision.
Can I arrange an individual viewing appointment?
Normally, only the scheduled viewing date is available. Alternative appointments cannot generally be arranged.
If no viewing date is shown on the auction or lot page, viewing the lot is not possible.
What should I inspect during the viewing?
Depending on the type of lot, you should check:
- Its general condition
- Visible damage or missing components
- Dimensions and transport requirements
- Connections and technical requirements
- Dismantling and loading conditions
- Access to the collection location
Testing or operating a machine may not be possible for technical or safety reasons.
What if I cannot attend the viewing?
You may ask another person with suitable technical knowledge to attend on your behalf, provided this is permitted under the viewing conditions.
Surplex cannot normally offer an additional viewing date if you or your representative are unable to attend.
